A Cookbook, A Club, and A Whole Lot of Cookies
The Vancouver Cookbook Club, led by food enthusiasts Josh and Cynthia, chooses a different cookbook each month and hosts a themed social event inspired by that book. It’s a fun way for members to explore new recipes, sharpen their skills, and meet fellow food lovers in the city.
For December, the cookbook of the month was Small Batch Cookies by Edd Kimber. Members baked an incredible variety of cookies—chewy, crispy, colorful, spiced, and chocolatey—each with its own personality. They gathered for an afternoon of cookie swapping, recipe sharing, and lively conversation. With coffee brewing, music playing, and plates filled with homemade treats, the event became a sweet, cozy celebration to close out the year.
