Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this clamshell food container suitable for takeout and meal prep?

Yes. The YQ-61 (225) white PP clamshell container is suitable for individual portions of rice, pasta, stir-fries, grilled proteins and side dishes. Its single-compartment design provides an open packing space for restaurant takeout and meal prep.

Q: Is this PP food container microwave-safe?

Yes. This polypropylene container is listed as microwave-safe for reheating food. Follow the applicable heating instructions and allow steam to escape. Microwave suitability does not mean the container is suitable for a conventional oven, grill or direct heat.

Q: What does the vent hole in the lid do?

The vent hole allows steam to escape from hot food and during reheating. It can help reduce trapped steam, but it does not guarantee condensation-free packaging or keep fried food crispy under every condition.

Q: What size is this square takeout container?

The outer dimensions are approximately 6 × 6 × 3 inches (15.5 × 15.5 × 7.6cm). The top inner dimensions are approximately 4.92 × 4.92 inches (12.5 × 12.5cm), with a 4 × 4-inch (10 × 10cm) base. Allow room for the lid to close without compressing the food.

Q: Does the hinged lid require a separate cover?

No. The lid is attached to the base and uses a snap-lock closure, so a separate cover is not required. Check that the closure is fully engaged after packing and keep the container upright during handling.

Q: Is this vented food container leak-proof?

No leak-proof or airtight performance is specified. The vent opening and hinged closure make it a better choice for solid foods than soups, broths or dishes with substantial free liquid. Package liquid sauces separately in suitable sealed containers.
